Public pressure is rising for the National Police to deactivate the Head of the Propam Police Division Inspector General Ferdy Sambo the aftermath of the shootout incident Bharada E that killed Brigadier J or Nopriansyah Yosua Hutabarat. The Commission for Disappeared Persons and Victims of Violence (KontraS) considers that there must be a guarantee that case investigations are carried out transparently, even though there are allegations that police officials are wrong.
“Transparent and credible investigations must ensure that the facts do not cover up if police officials make a mistake,” said KontraS Deputy Coordinator, Rivanlee Anandar, to reporters, Friday (15/7/2022).
On the other hand, KontraS also asks parties who can make this case clear and secure to be guaranteed. So that the parties can convey the real facts.

“Giving a safe space for anyone who conveys information or seeks information, such as local residents, journalists, to statements from the victim’s family. This means that there will be no more intimidation,” he said.
Inspector General Sambo’s insistence is disabled
Professor of Politics and Security at Padjadjaran University (Unpad) Bandung, Prof. Muradi, urged the National Police Chief General Listyo Sigit Prabowo to immediately deactivate the Head of the Propam Police Division, Inspector General Ferdy Sambo. This is important so that the investigation into the death of Brigadier Nopriyansyah Yoshua Hutabarat is objective and measurable.
“The National Police Chief must immediately disable the Propam Kadiv temporarily so that the investigation process from the special team can run objectively and measurably,” said Muradi to reporters, Friday (15/7).
Mahfud Md Alludes to the Deactivation of Inspector General Sambo
Previously, Coordinating Minister for Political, Legal and Security Affairs Mahfud Md had also spoken about the case of the death of Brigadier Joshua. He also invited the National Police Chief General Listyo Sigit Prabowo to consider input regarding the deactivation of Inspector General Ferdy Sambo.
Mahfud admitted that he was asked by many parties to convey to the National Police Chief about the need to deactivate Ferdy Sambo. He admits that he did.
