The Slovak company KONŠTRUKTA-Defence presented a new howitzer, which is a development of the Eva and Zuzana 2 self-propelled artillery systems. The new model is being developed as part of the BIA program.
What is known
KONŠTRUKTA-Defense quickly created a prototype of a self-propelled howitzer. It was this that was demonstrated to the public at the DSEI-2023 exhibition in London. The development of the artillery system began two years ago, and the gun has already passed fire tests.
The chassis is a Tatra vehicle with a 6×6 wheel arrangement. The combat vehicle is equipped with a Tatra T3C-928.90 V8 engine and has an Allison 4500SP transmission, but the customer can choose other solutions. The maximum speed is 90 km/h, and the range reaches 600 km.
The howitzer is equipped with a 155/52 caliber cannon with a rate of fire of 5 shots in the first minute and 13 shots within three minutes. The maximum firing range is more than 40 km / 50 km depending on the type of projectile.
