“Chechen thugs, a dictator from Myanmar are part of the “Magnitsky” list – and every sixth person there is Bulgarian. The US sanctions show that they have collected evidence – and on the same topic for which Vladislav Goranov was arrested last year.”

This was stated by Kalina Konstantinova, one of the representatives of “We continue the change” (PP) and deputy prime minister in the government of Kiril Petkov.
Konstantinova was categorical – Goranov cannot have a bank account anywhere in the world, he cannot manage money.
Where did the money go from two successive governments of Boyko Borisov, in which Vladislav Goranov was finance minister? The Bulgarian prosecutor’s office stands blind, deaf, does not hear – these cases are sitting somewhere on the prosecutor general’s lockers and he refuses to investigate, Konstantinova continued.
For her, the “Magnitsky” list is not an external interference in our domestic politics and internal affairs, but a reaction of the “global immune system”.
According to her, the USA is telling us to deal with our corruption, but they are also taking measures so that it does not harm outside of Bulgaria.
She also reminded that Great Britain also imposed sanctions – on Delyan Peevski and Vasil Bozhkov. From now on, we must ensure judicial reform and justice, not only because we owe it to the Bulgarians, but because our orientation in the world is at stake, Konstantinova is convinced.
The arrangement of the lists with “Democratic Bulgaria” is going extremely smoothly, Konstantinova assured.
She said that the departure of the former Deputy Minister of Agriculture Ivan Hristanov was not at all related to the arrangement of the lists, because it happened before the unification with “Democratic Bulgaria”.
Lena Borislavova has not yet decided whether she will participate in the lists, Konstantinova added. We are fighting with DB to win 121 deputies in the next parliament, she emphasized.
Konstantinova also doubted that the BSP will enter the next parliament, stressing that all the important socialist policies were financed after the PP stopped the leaks through the NRA – BGN 8 billion. As for the local elections, especially in Sofia, Konstantinova commented that there is a discussion with DB and a desire for joint work.
She firmly explained that there are facts in politics and there can be no nuances about them – such as who voted for judicial reform and who against. Finally, he expressed concern that we are still voting both on paper and by machine – because of possible manipulations.
