How did the “SEB” roboinvestor’s portfolio change on May 5, 2023?

  • Invested: 4098.88 euros
  • Capital value: EUR 4,036.33 (change + EUR 21.59)
  • Return on investment: -1.53% (change +0.52 pp)

For the third week, the “SEB Roboinvestora” portfolio is among the investors of “Nákotnes Kapitala”. In the previous week, my investments are starting to recover and the yield has improved by 0.52 percentage points. The biggest investment return this time was observed in the “SEB Active 80F” fund, which showed -2.46% a couple of weeks ago, but now managed to reduce losses to -1%.

“Unfortunately, the yield of the ETF deteriorated. I think it was the right decision to diversify my investments in “SEB” funds and ETFs, because currently one investment instrument compensates for another,” says Kuzikov.

The yield of Kuzikov’s portfolio deteriorated again

  • Invested: 4200 euros (changes +50 euros)
  • Capital value: 4037 euros (changes +27 euros), incl. 3837 euros in shares and 200 euros in savings bonds.
  • Return on investment: -3.88% (change -0.51 pp)

Viluon’s portfolio loses a little value

  • Invested: 4200.55 euros
  • Capital value: EUR 4194.20
  • Investment return: -0.12% (-0.50% for the week)

What happened to the “S&P 500” index during the week?

In the previous week, the “S&P 500” index decreased by 0.73% or 30.54 points. On Thursday, the US FRS raised rates by 0.25% and signaled a possible pause in growth. The US central bank is expected to monitor banking and financial conditions to assess the impact of rate hikes on the economy. FRS chairman Jerome Powell noted that despite the economic challenges, the FRS will not back down from the fight against inflation. However, stock traders do not believe his words and expect a sharper reduction of rates due to the threat of recession.

The main index of the Baltic Exchange experienced both a slight rise and fall during the week. However, the week ended with a slight gain of 0.12%. On the other hand, the monthly increase has already exceeded 1.2%. This is positive considering that foreign financial markets continue to have both ups and downs.

No significant positive events can be observed in the cryptocurrency market. The price of “Bitcoin”, which is the main barometer of this market, continues to fluctuate between 25-29 thousand dollars per coin, depending on the trading exchange and platform. Investors are waiting for the end of the rise in interest rates.

Portfolio changes

The common situation with Kuzikov shares is as follows:

  • The total number of shares decreased because I completely sold the ‘VUSA’ ETF.
  • Still 10 shares continued to show positive returns.
  • After accounting for the platform, “retained earnings” decreased from 77.84 to 64.54 euros

In the previous week, six stocks showed an increase in value, while the prices of 10 stocks fell. The biggest growth was shown by ETFs BATT (+0.14%) and AAPL (+0.11%). The biggest declines were in DIS (-0.12%) and MOS (-0.32%).

The situation with Vilūn Baltic shares is as follows:

  • Seven out of ten positions show a positive trend – the best result is “SAF Tehnika”
  • Positive growth for the total portfolio is +3.41%

The situation with Vilūn’s cryptocurrency portfolio is as follows:

  • “Solana” shows a decline in value
  • The biggest drop in value is “Solana” (-71.19%)

Kuzikov plans portfolio balancing

“Last week I completely sold ETF “VUSA” and continued to buy Latvian savings bonds. Joint investment savings bonds are already 200 euros, I will also make a purchase this week. I also continue to invest in stocks every week. After investments in the financial segment, the next investments will go into the technology segment.”

“At the same time as these investments, I am thinking of changing my portfolio. There are several reasons for this, but the main thing is that many investors are talking about a potential recession in the USA. That is why I want to increase the amount of bonds in my portfolio. For now, I will choose only Latvian savings bonds. At the same time, I still own shares for which I little i know it’s BATT and MOS. It’s also a bad practice to hold a stock whose business you don’t understand anything about. My plan is to sell this stock as well and divide the remaining money among other stocks. After that I’ll think about increasing the number of shares with some new industry, because the portfolio will have only 14 shares, which is also not good for healthy diversification,” writes Kuzikovs

Vilūns continues to add to the Baltic portfolio

“After a long time, a new share appeared in my Baltic portfolio – “VIRŠI-A”. In the coming weeks, the money will be invested in the P2P industry,” says Vilūn.
