Konrad Lorenz, born on November 7, 1903 in Vienna, was a behavioral scientist and animal sociologist. He received the Nobel Prize in Medicine in 1973 for his animal sociological studies, even if this research needs to be reconsidered from today’s perspective.
His theories on racial hygiene are viewed critically. During National Socialism he represented the views of Nazi racial doctrine and never publicly distanced himself from his statements throughout his life.
He died on February 27, 1989 in Vienna.
