Maybe you haven’t heard the name of Konrad de la Fuentebut this 18-year-old forward just renewed with Barcelona with a termination clause of 100 million euros, which speaks to the enormous talent and potential that they see at La Masía, since he plays in youth categories.
Through its website, Barça reported the extension of the young De la Fuente’s contract for the next two seasons with the option of another two additional years. The agreement states that as soon as you get on the First Team, its clause will be 100 million and while it remains in the minor categories it costs 50 million.
Who is Konrad de la Fuente?
Son of a Haitian father, but born in Miami and internationally in different minor processes with the U.S, including the Mundial Sub-20 of Poland 2019, Konrad de la Fuente is an extreme whose main physical qualities are power, explosiveness and strength, with the ability to play in both profiles. He came to Spain when he was 10 years old because his father was transferred to the Haitian consulate in Barcelona.
The American debuted at Barça B in December 2018 and this season he has played 852 minutes in the League with Juvenil A with 4 goals. In the UEFA Youth League he played nine games in the 2018-19 Season, scoring one goal.
