It turns out Silent Hill won’t be the only franchise to be given to developers outside of Konami, as the flops Metal Gear Survive and Against: Rogue Corps showed management the company’s inability to maintain its own brands at the proper level.

As a result, Konami became more open to proposals to make new games for Metal Gear and Castlevania hands of other developers – have they already managed to give someone a license, however, it is not reported. At best, such releases will appear in a few years.

Notably, Silent Hill from Supermassive (Until Dawn) was largely rejected due to its reluctance to give the license to a third-party developer, but since then the publisher has changed its mind. Interestingly, the original idea for this Silent Hill evolved into a horror anthology. The Dark Pictures.

According to VGC, the new Silent Hill will be announced this summer – a “famous Japanese developer” is working on it.
