Konami sets revenue records again and plans to release more Silent Hill games

In a recent financial report, Konami noted that despite the lack of emphasis on the big blockbusters that made it famous in past generations, the company continues to set records for revenue and profit.

The documents show that in the first six months of the current fiscal year (April-September 2024), Konami earned $1.207 million, and its profit exceeded $0.329 million. This is a 19.7% increase in revenue and a 41.8% increase in profit compared to the same period of the previous year.

These financial results reached record levels, largely driven by the Yu-Gi-Oh card business, including its integration with digital entertainment and video games. In this segment, Konami’s revenue was $0.863 million (+28.9%) and profit was $0.306 million (+50.3%).

Konami also noted progress in the development of eFootball and projects such as baseball and the remake of Silent Hill 2. The company expressed its intention to work on creating more games in the horror genre.
