Komnas KIPI: Serious Disease After Immunization Not because of Vaccination : National Okezone

JAKARTA – Chairman of the National Commission for Post-Immunization Adverse Events (Komnas AEFI) Prof. Hindra Irawan Satari said that serious illnesses that occur after immunization are usually not caused by processes vaccination.

“So if there is a serious incident, serious illness after immunization is usually caused not by vaccination,” said Hindra at the IDAI media seminar on Covid-19 vaccination, Saturday (22/1/2022).

He explained that before obtaining the permit, the vaccine had gone through a clinical trial phase of several stages involving many people and the AEFI would be seen in people who took the test.

Therefore, the emergence of serious diseases after vaccination is something that rarely happens with a diagnosis that can only be made by a doctor.

AEFIs that usually appear after the Covid-19 vaccination are usually in low or medium levels, ranging from pain at the injection site, fever, to headaches.
