KölnTourismus launches new podcast Cologne Clash

The name says it all: At the “Köln Clash”, two Cologne personalities meet who have never met before. In a dialogue they chat about their life and work in Cologne. Your respective perspectives and ways of life are in the foreground. No matter how big the clash, in the end the participants are united by their solidarity with Cologne.

The talk guests of the podcast come from a wide variety of areas such as science & research, the music industry, the trade, acting, the LGBTQI + scene, the television landscape, the comedy scene, gastronomy, the art scene and social media . In mutual interviews, the protagonists talk about their favorite places and insider tips in Cologne or sometimes ponder questions like “What makes Cologne so sexy?” Or “How does Cologne taste?”.

The beginning is made by the Cologne newcomer band Planschemalöör and Laura Winterling, who trained astronauts from the European Space Agency in Cologne for their mission in space for ten years. Other guests of the six episodes of the first season are forensic biologist and forensic scientist Dr. Mark Benecke, comedian Maxi Gstettenbauer, Princess Charming Irina Schlauch, actress Maike Johanna Reuter, the podcasters Niklas & David, do-it-yourselfer and YouTuberin Laura Kampf, Margrit Miebach from CityLeaks Urban Art Festival, writer Melanie Raabe, winemaker Mats Hilgers from IMI Winery and Anna Heller & Steffen Potratz-Heller from the Heller brewery.

“Who better to convey the Cologne attitude to life than the people who were born here or who made Cologne their home? I am pleased that we were able to win many interesting Cologne personalities for our podcast. As ‘Imi’, I really enjoy listening to our guests and their experiences in Cologne. Cologne guests, but also the people of Cologne themselves, learn a lot about the city from a wide variety of perspectives, ”explains Dr. Jürgen Amann, managing director of KölnTourismus GmbH. “The love of the people of Cologne for their city is something special, which is shown in the many small and large stories that we tell in our podcast.”

The special atmosphere of the conversations is reinforced by the unique Cologne locations where the recordings were made: In the Flora, in Dufthaus 4711, in Odonien, the Bel Etage of the Chocolate Museum and in the ecoHub. They represent the many exciting and very different places that Cologne has to offer.
