Kollam: On the fourth day of the State School Arts Festival, the Kannur district continued to dominate with 871 points when the competition was completed in 220 events. Kozhikode with 866 points and Palakkad with 860 points are in the second and third positions. This year’s Kalolsavam is to conclude tomorrow, and the competition in 19 more events is yet to be completed.
Along with the appeal, heavy rains in the evening disrupted the schedule of matches at most of the venues. The competition was suspended for more than an hour due to a leak in the roof of the drama competition venue. After that, the tarpaulin was tied up and restarted, but the match would go on till midnight.
The match was stopped due to waterlogging in the first venue as well. When there was a complaint that there was no light on the roads leading to the Vattapatt venue, the organizers intervened and resolved the problem.
