Kojima is not happy with the name “Director’s Cut”

She was a few days ago revealed enhanced PS5 version of the game Death Stranding: Director’s Cut, which will be released on September 24 and will bring many improvements, such as new story missions, racing mode, better running and other pieces of equipment.

As we all know, the legendary creator – Hideo Kojima – is behind the game today. And he is on his own today shared two short posts in the official twitter account, in which comments on the suffix “Director’s Cut”, with the use of which he does not agree much with the games:

“Director’s Cut” in the film refers to an additional cut that was released to an abridged version, which was released with reluctance because the director did not have the right to edit it or because the footage had to be abbreviated.

However, the games do not include what was originally cut, but what was subsequently made. Delector’s Plus? So that’s why I don’t like to call it “Director’s Cut”.

This statement can in fact be accepted, but subsequently we can argue over what addition these editions deserve.

Some suggestions then began to appear under the post itself, when names like „The Final Cut“ or good old „Definitive Edition“ a „Enhanced Edition“. And in our opinion, all variants would work a little better.

Anyway, what name would you choose? Do you think “Director’s Cut” is used appropriately? Or do you not care about these names? You can tell us that in the comments.

Finally, we remind you that it will also receive its improved version with this designation Ghost of Tsushima.
