Kohli jumped out of his seat, unable to contain his excitement at the ball’s century

Ahmedabad: Captain Virat Kohli’s reaction to Rishabh’s century in the fourth Test against England was a testament to his importance. Things did not go as planned when India came to the crease on the second day in the excitement of beating England by 205 runs.

When the six batsmen returned to the dressing room in the first two sessions before the team score crossed 150, India seemed to be giving up the first innings lead, but after overcoming England’s score, Rishabh, who was attacking and giving the ball to Rishabh, gave India the lead on the second day.

Joe Root hit his third six of his career in the 94th over when he struck out England bowler James Anderson with a reverse sweep at 89 to stun the England bowlers.

Captain Virat Kohli, who was in the dressing room, was the only one to jump into the fray when the ball, which had previously been out in the 90s, was now out of the three. Kohli jumped out of his seat and ran to the balcony of the dressing room to greet the ball.

The six of the ball thrilled the Indian players who were under pressure at 94. After the century, Rishabh was bowled by Anderson but India regained the lead with a crucial first innings lead of 89 runs.
