Supercar manufacturer Koenigsegg introduced its new Gemera model back in 2020, using a 2.0-liter three-cylinder engine with two turbines, as well as three electric motors. The plan predicted that the total power of the system would be around 1,700 horsepower, but some changes took place before serial production began. If that wasn’t enough for someone, the Gemer version is now available with a 5.0 V8 engine with two turbines that develops 2,300 horsepower and 2,750 Nm of torque. There is a nuance – such parameters can be achieved using E85 fuel.
Buying the V8 option will not be a cheap pleasure, its purchase will cost around 400 thousand dollars. As for the electric motors, the original plan was to use three electric motors, but the series production will use a version with one electric motor. Nevertheless, the 2.0-liter three-cylinder version with an electric motor will still develop around 1,400 horsepower. The same electric motor will also be used for the V8 version, but in this version the internal combustion engine provides more power.

Undoubtedly, a car with such high power is all-wheel drive. Both versions of the power units use a 14kWh battery, with Koenigsegg promising around 50 kilometers on electricity alone. The head of the company, Christian van Koenigsegg, says that this is not only the most powerful, extreme production machine in the world today, but it is also user-friendly and comfortable. The manufacturer estimates that the three-cylinder version will accelerate the car to 100 km/h in 1.9 seconds.
“The car’s incredible responsiveness, handling, engine sound, gear shifting and roomy cabin allow you to create an unprecedented driving experience,” says the owner of the company. What’s important is that you can take your friends with you when driving the Gemera, as this is a 2+2 GT class car.
It is planned that production will start next year at the new Koenigsegg factory, and the first cars will go to customers in 2025. The car will be exclusive, and it is planned to produce only 300 copies. Pricing is not yet known, but we wouldn’t be surprised if it approaches and also surpasses the 1 million mark.
