Club Al-Ahly’s first team defeated their host Petrojet by five to one goals in the friendly which took place tonight, Wednesday, at the island’s Mukhtar Al-Titch Stadium.
The events of the match, which took place at the Al-Ahly Wei Al-Salam stadium, were of a good standard, amid Al-Ahly’s control over his course, accompanied by offensive effectiveness, while Petrojet relied on counter-attacks.
Al-Ahly’s side opened the scoring in the first half through striker Hossam Hassan, before Rami Rabia doubled up with a second goal from a penalty kick.
Ahmed Abdel Qader also managed to score the third goal for Al-Ahly before halftime, while Petrojet managed to narrow the difference by scoring the only goal for the oil team in the match.
Al-Ahly managed to score again, after scoring his fourth goal with the field average, Amr Al-Sulayya, while newcomer Shadi Hussein ended the scoring festival by scoring the fifth in favor of the Red Genius.
Today’s match is the first confrontation for Marcel Koehler, the new coach of the Al-Ahly Club, who was tasked with coaching the Red Castle this month, to succeed Portuguese Ricardo Soares, who was sacked from his position after two months of taking office.
