“Good luck to all Zwijndrechters who go to court today.” That says Kobe Ilse in an Instagram post. The 39-year-old presenter lived in Zwijndrecht for 25 years and is therefore “full of PFOS”. “It’s a shame,” he says.

The levels of PFOS in six out of ten people living near the 3M factory in Zwijndrecht are so high that they “must stop exposure immediately”. This is apparent from the results of a blood test carried out by the Agency for Care and Health on 796 people living within a radius of 3 kilometers from the 3M site in Zwijndrecht.

Among them is presenter Kobe Ilsen. “I was born and raised in Zwijndrecht. lived for 25 years,” he writes. “So it’s packed with PFOS.”
A large part of his family also has the substance in their blood: “It turns out… My mother, brother, adoptive father, sister-in-law too. But above all… My godson, my nephews and niece, children between 7 and 16 years old. Poisoned!” Ilsen writes.
In the meantime, it is also known that the municipal council of Zwijndrecht is giving 3M notice of default. Any resident affected by the problem can join. In addition, citizens can also join a civil complaint filed by the municipality of Zwijndrecht in the context of the ongoing judicial investigation into the pollution. With the Instagram post, Kobe Ilsen expresses his support to those who have done so or are planning to.
