At 40 degrees Celsius, Australian Anna Heusler and her friends ride their bikes towards Adelaide. On the way there is a koala in the middle of the street.

Heusler stops and wants to help the animal. “We’ve seen hundreds of koalas over the years, but we’ve never seen one do this,” she says «7 News», “When I gave him water from all our bottles, he actually climbed onto my bike.”

The koala had survived the bushfires in the region. Heusler deposited the marsupial on some trees. Their efforts probably saved it from death.
