The KNVB keeps a close eye on the coronavirus situation now that the disease has been diagnosed in the Netherlands. The football association does not yet take any measures in professional and amateur football.

In a statement let the KNVB know on Thursday evening that they are in close contact with the National Institute for Public Health and the Environment (RIVM), the Municipal Health Service (GGD) and the ministries.
“We keep a close eye on all reports. Should the government impose measures that might also affect football, we will let you know as soon as possible,” the KNVB continues.
In Tilburg a person tested positive for the COVID-19 virus on Thursday, which means that the virus reached the Netherlands for the first time. The man is in the Elisabeth TweeSteden Hospital in Tilburg.
Willem II will play at home on Friday
The Eredivisie will continue on Friday with the 25th round of play, in which Willem II from Tilburg will play at home against FC Groningen at 8 PM. On Friday an almost complete round of games will also be played in the Kitchen Champion Division.
More matches will follow on Saturday and Sunday, including Ajax-AZ and PSV-Feyenoord. In Italy, where the corona virus has spread rapidly, a number of matches are played without an audience.
