KNSB: ‘skate close to home’ • Permission for home tests possibly closer

The skating association KNSB is calling on skaters to enjoy the ice sensibly in the coming days and to travel as little as possible. “Look for ponds, canals or ditches in your own town,” says the skating union. After a few nights of heavy frost, according to the union, there are places to skate on natural ice in almost the entire country. However, the KNSB warns, “check whether this is safe”.

Yesterday were on different places skaters were removed from the ice because it had become too busy, which also made it more difficult to comply with the corona rules. To prevent this, access roads to popular skating spots in various provinces have been closed to traffic.
