Police arrest West Papua National Committee (KNPB) chairman Dogiyai, Saugas Goo, as the alleged mastermind behind the deadly riots in Dogiyai, central Papua. Saugas is now being taken to Nabire for questioning.
Police also released a number of photos related to the arrest of Saugas Goo. It looks like Saugas Goo is wearing a cap on his head. Meanwhile, his hands were handcuffed.
Even the alleged mastermind behind the riot has a beard. She also wore camouflage shorts and boots.
After being arrested, Saugas Goo was given strict security guards. Several officers were seen wearing bulletproof vests and throwing tear gas.
Papua Regional Police Public Relations Chief Kombes Ahmad Mustafa Kamal said Saugas Goo was arrested in Dogiyai area, central Papua, as reported by detikSulselTuesday (11/22).
“It is true, this morning SG was arrested by joint forces while he was at Moanemani gas station. He was the chairman of KNPB, the mastermind behind the riots in Dogiyai,” said Kombes Kamal in his statement on Tuesday (22/ 11).
