Kochi: A woman filed a complaint before the Prime Minister and the Women’s Commission claiming that the police overturned her dowry harassment complaint. Dhanya Nalinakshan, a resident of Aluva South Vazhakulam, filed a complaint against the Tadiittaparam police. In October 2021, the NRA filed a complaint at the Aluva Tadiittaparam Police Station via the NRA after dowry harassment continued, including by in-laws. The police refused to register her statement online as she was overseas.

The woman also said that the police are cooperating in the reconciliation efforts of her husband’s family. After filing a complaint with the Prime Minister and the Women’s Commission, the complainant met with the media in Kochi.
