Investigators from the Vienna State Criminal Police Office, branch north, arrested a 31-year-old Austrian who was already known to the office on Friday afternoon in Wagramer Strasse in Vienna-Donaustadt. He is suspected of being a drug dealer. He is also said to have committed various break-in attempts and break-ins as well as thefts in business premises in Vienna and Klosterneuburg in Lower Austria.
When the man was arrested, 200 grams of cocaine were seized. He was subsequently admitted to a prison.
More arrests
Three alleged heroin dealers were also arrested on Sunday afternoon in Vienna-Landstrasse and Vienna-Währing. Officials of the task force to combat street crime observed a 16-year-old Slovak and a 28-year-old Bosnian in the third district, who are said to have just traded drugs.
In the course of the arrest, the officers seized a total of around 50 grams of heroin and cash in the amount of 1,380 euros. During a house search in Vienna-Favoriten, around 600 grams of heroin were found in 120 sachets.
In the Vienna-Währing district, on the other hand, a 20-year-old Serb was arrested in the act of suspected selling heroin. The police seized around 25 grams of the addictive substance.
