“Know Your Rights: Accessing and Destroying Recorded Images of Individuals and Vehicles”

Exercise of the rights of the person concerned by the recording of images

The persons concerned by the recording of their image or the license plate of their vehicle have the right to access the recording concerning them and to verify its destruction after the retention period indicated. This right may be refused for the following reasons: state security, defence, public security, during an ongoing judicial investigation or to protect the privacy of other persons. For reasons of public order, individuals cannot oppose the recording of images concerning them or request their deletion before the expiry of the retention period specified above.
