Covid-19 cases in Indonesia have increased again since the emergence of a new variant of the Corona Omicron virus.

One of Omicron’s symptoms is a cough and cold that are very similar to flu symptoms.
So, how do you know the difference in Omicron symptoms for children, teens and adults to the elderly?
Spokesperson for the Covid-19 Vaccination of the Ministry of Health (Kemenkes), Dr. Siti Nadia Tarmizi, mentioned the general symptoms of patients with the Omicron variant of all ages, including infants, children, adults and the elderly.
“The symptoms are the same as the flu, namely cough, runny nose, fever, chills and fatigue,” said Dr. Siti Nadia Tarmizi as reported by Kompas.com.

In line with this statement, Maya Ramagopal, MD, who is a professor of pediatrics at Rutgers-Robert Wood Johnson Medical School, says that the symptoms of the Omicron variant in children are similar to those experienced by adults.
