Pathanamthitta ∙ Amidst the CPM-CPI tussle over the collective leave controversy, KU Janish Kumar MLA’s threatening phone conversation with the KSEB official in November has come out. KASEB had given an estimate of 5.15 lakhs to install a transformer for the electricity needs of the cinema theater in Konni.
The transformer was not installed as the theater owner did not pay the money. It is alleged that instead of this, the MLA installed a transformer in the name of the Kaushal Kendra and the vehicle charging station, which is not near the theatre, and threatened the officials to provide connection to the theater from the MLA fund.
When the officer says that he can’t do anything against the law, he also threatens ‘I know how to do it myself.’ It is said that in the meeting held in Thiruvananthapuram under the chairmanship of Krishnankutty, it was agreed to take special permission and give the connection. The officer was soon transferred from Pathanamthitta to Kottayam.
