Knock! Paid Vaccination Services at Kimia Farma Officially Postponed

Jakarta, CNBC Indonesia – The state-owned company implementing the Individual Mutual Assistance Vaccination, PT Kimia Farma Tbk (KAEF) has decided to postpone the implementation of the paid vaccination program.

It is not clear how long this delay will be, after previously the program was planned to be implemented on Monday (12/7/2021).

Kimia Farma Corporate Secretary Change Winarno said the delay was due to the company extending the socialization process for the program.

Then, the company also needs to make arrangements for registration of prospective vaccination participants.

“We apologize that the Individual Mutual Assistance Vaccination schedule, which originally started on Monday, July 12, 2021, will be postponed until further notice,” said Change to CNBC Indonesia, Monday.

“The amount of interest and the many questions that came in made management decide to extend the socialization period for Individual Mutual Assistance Vaccination and arrangements for registration of prospective participants,” he explained.

The vaccine that will be used in the Mutual Assistance Vaccination program is Sinopharm. The use of this type of vaccine is in accordance with the government’s decision on the type of vaccine used for mutual cooperation vaccination.

“The vaccine used is the Sinopharm vaccine in accordance with the Government’s decision on the type of vaccine used for mutual cooperation,” said Change when confirmed by CNBC Indonesia, Sunday (11/7/2021).

He also revealed that the independent vaccination provided by Kimia Farma was one of the steps to accelerate herd immunity.

It is estimated that the cost required for each person to complete the vaccination stage is around Rp. 879,140. With details, the vaccine purchase rate is set at IDR 321,660 per dose and the service rate at IDR 117,910 per dose.

For the need for two-dose injections, the price of the vaccine is Rp. 643 thousand. Meanwhile, the vaccination rate for two vaccinations is Rp. 253,820 for two vaccinations.

The tariff for individual vaccines is regulated by the Decree of the Minister of Health Number HK.01.07/MENKES/4643/2021 concerning the Determination of the Purchase Price of Sinopharma’s Vaccine Production.

Previously, the management of KAEF stated that starting Monday (12/7/2021) the public could vaccinate individually.

The price of vaccination has been determined by the Decree of the Minister of Health Number HK.01.07/MENKES/4643/2021 concerning the Determination of the Purchase Price of the Vaccine Production of Sinopharm.

The price for one dose must be Rp. 321,660 and also the service fee is Rp. 117,910 per dose. So the estimated cost to complete two doses is around IDR 879,140.
