KNMI warns of slipperiness in the northeast and fog in Utrecht

The KNMI warns of slipperiness in the north-east of the country due to freezing wet road sections. There may also be remnants of snow in some places that freeze. The yellow code was issued for the provinces of Friesland, Groningen, Drenthe, Overijssel and Flevoland, valid until 09:00. Sprinklers have been deployed in various places.

In the province of Utrecht there is a warning of dense fog which can last until 12:00. According to the KNMI, visibility is less than 200 meters in some places.

A weather warning was also issued yesterday, therefore cause of possible snowfall. In some places in the north and east of the country, a layer of snow between 1 and 3 centimeters fell.
