It KNMI warns on Sunday with code yellow for stormy weather. Thunderstorms and heavy wind gusts are expected in almost the entire country.
In the morning, the north and west of the Netherlands in particular will experience a fair amount of outdoor and local thunderstorms. Heavy wind gusts of 90 kilometers per hour are possible on the west coast of North Holland and in the western Wadden area.
It is slowly becoming drier and the sun is breaking through the entire country. But during the afternoon, an area of showers will move across the country again. This also causes thunderstorms and heavy wind gusts of around 75 kilometers per hour.
The KNMI warns that the stormy weather can cause disruption to traffic and outdoor activities. Later in the afternoon the wind will decrease in strength. The temperature is quite mild for the end of October with a maximum of 13 to 16 degrees.
