This year, new versions of older games have taken up a lot of space on the gaming scene. Sony launched its latest Playstation 5 event on the same theme and surprised by unveiling one remake of Bioware’s popular role-playing game Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic (KOTOR).
The original game was launched in 2003 and takes place about 4,000 years before the Galactic Empire ruled the galaxy. The player is a Jedi knight and takes up space in search of a Sith lord. KOTOR received special praise for the role-playing piece, where the player’s character was shaped by his choices and could choose between the dark or light side of the force.
However, it will not be Bioware that is responsible for the new version, but the Aspyr studio. As the game is almost 20 years old, it will be rebuilt from the ground up for modern platforms. It will be launched for both Playstation 5 and PC / Windows, but will be exclusive to Sony’s console the first period. An exact launch date does not yet exist. As the game is still at an early stage of the development process, there are probably several years left until then.
