Capcom recently shared detailed gameplay footage from the Resident Evil 4 remake that, from what we’ve seen, will increase the horror series’ darkness over the 2005 original, while also paying homage to it. This isn’t the only gameplay homage revealed recently, as Capcom made a direct nod to the 2019 Resident Evil 2 remake with a small detail.
Ever since Capcom released RE remakes, the studio has been better at tying parts of the series together in small details. One such detail is the combat knife in the Resident Evil 4 remake, and while it looks like a low-key addition at first glance, Capcom’s game demo showed that the team tried to build a storyline through the previous remake. with descriptions of the objects.
A weapon suitable for close encounters. It has become Leon’s primary weapon since he received it while serving in the RPD.
You can see the knife and its description below (or see for yourself in the middle video at 49:50).
Again, this is a very small but nice addition to the Resident Evil 4 Remake. It definitely references how Leon received the knife from Marvin in the Resident Evil 2 Remake.
