A woman was injured with a knife on Saturday afternoon at her home in the 3rd arrondissement of Lyon. This could be an anti-Semitic act.

A knife attack, possibly of an anti-Semitic nature, took place in Lyon on Saturday November 4.

Shortly after 1 p.m., a young Jewish woman was stabbed at her home in the 3rd arrondissement. His vital prognosis is not in jeopardy and no suspect has yet been arrested according to the prosecution.

The attacker first rang the victim’s doorbell before stabbing him twice. With his face hidden, the latter then fled. A swastika was also found spray painted on the door of the home.

The Lyon public prosecutor’s office has opened an investigation into attempted murder aggravated by the fact that the act could be motivated by an anti-Semitic motive.
