Around 10 a.m. on the 11th, a 110 call was received that a woman had been cut with a knife at a residence in Terada-cho, Hachioji City, Tokyo.
According to the Metropolitan Police Department, a woman in her 30s who lived in this house was in the room with her baby when a man broke in and cut her with what appeared to be a knife.
The woman suffered injuries to her right arm and fingers and was taken to a hospital for treatment, but the severity of her injuries are believed to be minor.
