GINSHEIM-GUSTAVSBURG – As the public prosecutor’s office in Darmstadt and the police headquarters in South Hesse announced on Saturday evening, a knife attack broke out in the night from Friday to Saturday as part of a private celebration in an apartment in Ginsheim-Gustavsburg.
According to the police, a 21-year-old from Bischofsheim was seriously injured there around 3:30 a.m. by a 22-year-old, also from Bischofsheim, with a kitchen knife. The police said there was no mortal danger.
The 22-year-old was arrested by the local police, and the injured young man had to be treated in a nearby hospital. The background to the fact is still unclear.
The Darmstadt public prosecutor and the criminal police have taken over the investigation.
