Kloten showed no weakness in the 7-0 win at home against bottom of the table Winterthur and also won the fifth duel with their cantonal rivals this season without any effort. Five of the seven goals came in power play, two of which were scored by Canadian Eric Faille, who ultimately even ended the game as a three-time goalscorer.
Ajoie beat La Chaux-de-Fonds 4-1 at home. The Jurassians celebrated their sixth victory in a row and are therefore still five points behind Kloten – with four fewer games played.
Langenthal struggled most of the top trio. Oberaargau were down 3: 4 in the arch-rival derby against Olten until the 38th minute, before Captain Stefan Tschannen and Mathieu Maret brought about the turnaround with a double strike within 91 seconds before the second break. In the end, Langenthal prevailed 6: 4 against defensively negligent Oltner. After the eighth defeat, Olten is deeper and deeper in the crisis.
