Jurgen Klopp, the coach of the team, stated that they are currently suffering from a crisis in not being able to take advantage of the opportunities that arise to score, saying that Jordan Henderson’s injury does not seem simple.
“The problem facing the team at the moment is that we cannot take advantage of the opportunities that arise to score,” Klopp said in his remarks following the 2-0 loss to Everton.
He continued: “We controlled the match and the opponent was unable to provide anything except that he was waiting for a mistake in order to exploit him and he succeeded in that already, then it was the penalty kick they got. Some say it is incorrect, but this does not matter.”
He added, “The opponent takes advantage of one mistake and scores a goal, but we are unable to exploit 10 mistakes that allow us to score, this is the situation we are currently in.”
As for Jordan Henderson’s injury, who left the match in the first half: “Many strange and difficult things happen just as it is for Henderson, who suffered a severe injury today, and to be honest it does not seem like a simple injury either.”
