KLM resumes the Valencia-Amsterdam route in July with four weekly flights

VALÈNCIA / AMSTERDAM (VP / EFECOM). The València airport takes another step towards the recovery of activity prior to the stoppage forced by the coronavirus crisis. The French airline KLM announced on Tuesday the resumption of the Valencia-Amsterdam route from July with four weekly frequencies.

The connection is part of the schedule with which the company resumes its activity between Amsterdam and several Spanish airports (Alicante, Bilbao, Ibiza, Malaga and Valencia), which join the offer with Madrid and Barcelona, where the company had restarted its activity last May 4.

All in all, KLM insists that this schedule of 126 weekly frequencies from and to 7 Spanish airports is the one planned “as of today” for July, but that it is subject to eventual changes depending on the evolution of the situation. Before the pandemic crisis, KLM connected València and Amsterdam with two daily flights.

In July, KLM will increase the number of flights by 60% compared to this month of June, so that it will operate between 25 and 30% of its frequencies. The increase in supply will focus especially on destinations in southern Europe.

In addition, Air Europa, belonging to the same group as Air France-KLM, has also announced on Tuesday that it is reestablishing the daily connection between València and Paris-Orly from July 15.

The offer of flights planned by KLM in Spain for the month of July is complemented by that of its partner Air France, which this month will have up to two daily flights from Madrid and Barcelona to Paris-Charles de Gaulle, as well as a weekly flight from from June 27 from Ibiza and Palma de Mallorca to the French capital.

Air France will soon announce its flight network for the month of July. With the lines to open in July, KLM will again operate 78% of the initially planned destinations, with more than 3,000 flights departing from Amsterdam-Schiphol airport.
