Project period: 04/23 – 03/26
The concern of KlimaAusbildung
The KlimaAUSbildung project aims to support vocational school students to better understand the world in the climate crisis and to find their own place in it.
We look together: What does it take if we want to take care of our world and thus our livelihood? What can we change individually and together – for a world worth living in for everyone, today and in the future?
In particular, we look at how vocational school students can contribute to change in their profession.
We take into account that we all have different circumstances, opportunities and talents. Together we look at how each individual can contribute in a way that is right for them.
What happens in climate education
The project team is developing materials for climate workshops at vocational schools. The materials are constantly being further developed with the help of feedback from practice and summarized in a digital handbook.
The project team trains young people between the ages of 18 and 30 to become team leaders in day training courses and online courses. The team leaders conduct climate workshops at vocational schools in teams of two to three people. The project team supports the team leaders in preparing and implementing the climate workshops.
The climate workshops at vocational schools take place in northern, eastern and western Germany.
Practical partners from the regions are involved in the climate workshops at vocational schools and in the further training of the team leaders.
The KlimaAusbildung project is funded as part of the National Climate Protection Initiative (NKI) of the Federal Ministry of Economics and Climate Protection (BMWK). The project started on April 1st, 2023 and ends on March 31st, 2026.
