Martien, Erica and Maxime make the castle and garden spic and span again, but that is not without a struggle. Just cutting the grass turns into a true one catastrophe when Martien can’t get the mower to work anymore. With a lot of sighs and groans, the lord of the castle manages to do it, but he does not enjoy it for long.

Little Claire is done with traversing the immense estate on foot and decides to get her toy car out of the mothballs. Grandpa Martien still has considerable trauma from this because his granddaughter smashed the lavender. This time it is not the lavender, but the oleander that has to be put to use.
Fortunately mother Maxime knows how to intervene and Claire can drive around to her heart’s content again. It remains to be seen whether Leroy, Maxime’s new friend, has so much patience. In any case, the Meilandjes walk away with him, as you can see below.
