Dallas (AP) – National basketball player Maxi Kleber from the Dallas Mavericks also sees the unfamiliar conditions of the coming NBA season as an opportunity.

To avoid unnecessary travel in the pandemic, teams sometimes play in mini-series against the same opponent several times. “The away races will look completely different. For us as a team, it is also an opportunity to grow because we will spend more time together,” said the 28-year-old professional on Sunday. “It’s the way it is, you can’t change it. We should be happy that we can play basketball and do our jobs. It could be a lot worse. We are very grateful for it.”

The NBA season, which has been shortened to 72 games per team due to the pandemic, begins on December 22nd. Due to the Corona rules, the teams are only just starting proper team training, but the first preparatory games will already take place on Friday. Denver will face the Golden State Warriors on Saturday.
