You have been a member of the Management Board of Uniqa Austria since 2016 and are now retiring later than planned. Are there any concrete plans for 2023?
KLAUS PEKAREK: The search for my successor wasn’t easy, my contract was extended. Now I would like to finally retire from the official function. But I have a consultant agreement and will be available to Uniqa as a consultant in 2023 – for me a perfect smooth transition so that I don’t slow down from 150 percent to zero. The colleague who takes over the department starts in April. She has to get to know Uniqa, the group structure, but also Raiffeisen in all its complexity.
