Gerchsheim.Klaus Hofmann (center) was honored with a special honor. At the most recent meeting of the Gerchsheim local council – due to corona in the gymnasium and festival hall – he received the DRK gold pin of honor for donating blood 75 times. Mayor Heinz Schmitt (left) emphasized the great achievement and the sense of responsibility, which is not commonplace, and wished many imitators. Hofmann had voluntarily and free of charge had the sap of life tapped 75 times to rescue the sick. Grossrinderfeld’s mayor, Johannes Leibold, also praised this commitment to the well-being of fellow citizens. He recalled how many years it would take to donate to reach this high number.
