LatviaS Klaidonis Celebrates 20 Years with Anniversary Concerts
Latvia’s most popular country music group, Klaidonis, is marking two decades of musical success with a series of anniversary concerts.Teh concerts, scheduled for January 19, 2025, at 4:00 PM in the Great hall of the Latvian Society building in Liepāja, promise a memorable evening for fans.
The event will feature songs from their highly anticipated new studio album, “neko nejautā” (Ask Nothing), a project eight years in the making. The album includes original compositions by bandleader Māris Sloka, alongside beloved classics like “Vecais skroderis,” “Tik oturi zaiskrien laiks,” and “Prieks.”
“Little soul,” which has now become the band’s trademark, winning the title of the best song at the 2005 Bauska Country Music Awards at the festival, receiving the Copyright Infinity Award and convincingly winning “Latvijas Šlāgeraptaujā 2005,”
says Māris Sloka, highlighting the meaning of the new material. He adds:
“We are sure that we will manage to create a warm atmosphere and, as has often happened at our concerts, there will be a good sing-along!”
