Kladno is struggling, it has fallen to last place in the extra league table – which is why, shortly before the transfer deadline, it reacts by strengthening its defense, bringing in defensive worker Martin Nemčík from Slovakia.
194 centimeters, 105 kilograms. These are the physical proportions of the new Kladno reinforcement. “I’m happy for this opportunity and I’m looking forward to fighting for Kladno,” said Nemčík on the Knights’ website.
The 31-year-old defender has been training with the last team Tipsport of the extra league since Thursday. If they manage to take care of the necessary administrative matters, they will jump into Friday’s match in Litvínov.

Nemčík comes from Trenčín, Slovakia, where he was assistant captain – in 32 games of this year’s regular season, he scored four points (2+2), in the +/- statistic, he fell to -11.
In the past, he also played in Slovakia for Košice and Banská Bystrica, with whom he won the extra league title there in 2019. Czech fans may remember the German from his two-year stay in Znojmo. He also tried the overseas ECHL for three years.
“By his parameters, he is destined to play non-negotiable not only in front of his own goal,” the Knights are looking forward to the defender, who does not hesitate to fight. After all, in three seasons in Slovakia, he got over one hundred penalty minutes.
