Klabang Police accompanied the administration of the Human Papilloma Virus (HPV) vaccine to Class 5 and Class 6 girls at SDN Leprak 1, Klabang District, Bondowoso Regency, Thursday (19/7/2023).
This activity was attended by Ps. Kanitbinmas Klabang Police, Aipda Supriyanto, Principal of SDN Leprak 1, and a number of teachers.
Aipda Supriyanto said that the HPV vaccine is given to prevent cervical cancer from an early age. This vaccine is safe and effective for preventing cervical cancer, vulvar cancer, vaginal cancer and other sexually transmitted diseases caused by the HPV virus.
“This activity ran smoothly and safely. “A total of 100 students took part in the HPV vaccination,” said Aipda Supriyanto.
Head of SDN Leprak 1, Hj. Siti Aminah, expressed her gratitude to the Bondowoso Police and Klabang Police for providing assistance in implementing the HPV vaccination.
“We hope this activity can help prevent cervical cancer in girls,” said Hj. Siti Aminah.
Cervical cancer is the most common type of cancer in women in Indonesia. This cancer is caused by infection with the HPV virus. The HPV vaccine is one way to prevent cervical cancer.
