In October last year, Klaas once again demonstrated his versatility when he released two dance-pop singles in the 80s retro sound with “How Far Can We Go” and “Fever”. As for many times in the past, Averro released a remix for “How Far Can We Go” on February 5th. On Spotify, his version is approaching a quarter of a million streams, which doesn’t really surprise us.
We don’t have to tell you much about Klaas, the DJ and music producer from Cologne is one of the most famous EDM artists in Germany. In the last few years we have reported to you a lot about his releases. It wasn’t until January that we presented his remix for the Bronski beat cover “Smalltown Boy” by Mazza, which is in our DJ promo. Among his unmistakable electro house tracks, which regularly reach several million Spotify plays, his remix from 2008 to the classic “Infinity” by Guru Josh Project is his greatest success with around 170 million streams on Spotify. Averro has already been able to lend a hand for several of his singles. The newcomer from Paderborn with Dutch roots is not only a producer, DJ and songwriter, but also the host of the Bootshaus Podcast. He also writes songs for other artists. He is one of the first musicians whose hardstyle remix was released on Armin Van Buuren’s label Armada Music and thus achieved more than 1 million Spotify plays. Further remixes followed, which even surpassed this success: in the last year alone, Averro achieved more than 7.2 million Spotify streams through five productions.
How Far Can We Go (Averro Remix)
The catchy track “How Far Can We Go” is an original composition by Klaas and his regular songwriter Matthew Tasa. While their version in the medium-paced synth-pop guise of the 80s inspires with contemporary dance sounds, Averro has also partly relied on the unforgettable decade in its adaptation. For this he created his own, suitable synths, as the tempo has been increased. That doesn’t affect the song, on the contrary. When the pre-drop is rung in in the vocal passages, the number changes genre in a smooth transition and goes over to euphoric hard dance tunes. After another run, the producer surprises us with a hardstyle kick in the second drop, before the refrain and drop merge in the final of the remix.
Conclusion: With his remix for “How Far Can We Go” by Klaas, Averro has again achieved a first-class remix. In addition to the singing, he keeps the 80s style of the original track, only to surprise with a hard dance drop. A musical treat for dance fans!
