“The KKE denounces the brutal attack with MAT and chemicals received by the seasonal firefighters, who claim their right to work against the government’s policy that throws them out on the street,” the KKE notes in a statement.
“The people who fought the fires all summer, under the most adverse conditions, are now considered redundant and are being fired. And all this on the day that the government announces the extension of the fire protection season due to the drought!”, the announcement continues and concludes:
“Shame and disgrace. Instead of meeting the fair demands of seasonal firefighters, the government is crippling them with MAT and chemicals.”
