PAPUA, KOMPAS TV – The Head of Information for Kogabwilhan III, Colonel Czi IGN Suriastawa, exposed the strength of the Armed Criminal Group (KKB) when it carried out a guerrilla attack against the joint TNI-Polri apparatus.
According to Suriastawa, when carrying out attacks, KKBs located in the mountains of Papua, usually move in small groups, not as large as imagined or seen from the circulating photos.

Of those who moved to carry out the attack, continued Suriastawa, not all KKB personnel were equipped or carried firearms.
“So, do not imagine their photos on social media, where tens or hundreds of people are gathered and all of them are armed,” said Suriastawa through his official statement on Monday (8/3/2021).
Suriastawa said the number of KKB personnel who carried out guerrilla attacks was usually 5 to 7 people. Of these, only two carried firearms at most.
“In the guerrilla action, out of 5-7 people only 1 or 2 were armed and if there was gunfire,” said Suriastawa.
