Armed criminal group (KKB) opened fire on a Trigana Air plane at Dekai Airport, Yahukimo Regency, Papua Mountains. Luckily, there were no fatalities or injuries in this incident.
Reported BetweenSaturday (11/3/2023), a Boeing IL 222 Series 300 aircraft with flight number PK-YSC was shot down shortly after flying from the airport at around 14.06 WIT.
The Head of Public Relations of the Papua Police, Kombes Benny Prabowo, admitted that his party had received reports regarding the shooting down of the plane by KKB This. However, the plane carrying 66 passengers still landed safely at Sentani Airport, Jayapura Regency.
Meanwhile, one of the passengers on the plane revealed that he had heard one gunshot, shortly after taking off. Passengers had questions.
“Thank God we arrived safely at Sentani,” said the passenger who did not want his identity to be named.
