KKB Performs Massacre in Nduga Papua, 9 Dead and 1 Injured

JAYAPURA, KOMPAS.com – Armed Criminal Group (KKB) carried out an attack that led to a massacre in Nogolait Village, Nduga Regency, PapuaSaturday (16/7/2022).

In total there are 10 victims who have been taken to the Kenyam Health Center.

“Until now, from the data we got, out of 10 in the Puskesmas, nine people dead“said Direskrimum Polda Papua Kombes Faizal Ramadhani, in Jayapura, Saturday.

The identities of the victims who died were Yulius Watu, Hubertus Goti, Daeng Marannu, Taufan Amir, Johan, Alex, Yuda Nurusingga, Nasjen and Eliaser Baner.

Meanwhile, one victim who was injured was Sudirman.

“One of the victims who died was a priest, namely Eliaser Baner,” said Faizal.

According to him, most of the victims had gunshot wounds and some had sharp objects.

Regarding the perpetrators, Faizal believes that the perpetrators are KKB led by Egianus Kogoya.

“We firmly believe this is the Egianus group,” he said.

Faizal said that a team would be sent to identify at the scene.

“The distance from the crime scene is not too far, but the area is a suburb,” said Faizal.
