Magnum Media has made a format change at WKCH-FM Whitewater, Wisconsin (106.5 MHz, 6 kW ERP). Kix 106.5 has become Klassic Country 94.7/106.5Country music will remain on the station. However, the station will focus more on classics of this genre.

Klassic Country 94.7/106.5 broadcasts in addition to WKCH-FM also via the translator W234DR-FM in Beloit, Wisconsin, on 94.7 MHz with 130 watts ERP. In addition, there is a Livestream on the Internet, which is, however, subject to regional geoblocking. Reception is possible via a VPN server in Chicago, but this does not work with server locations on the American east coast.

This is what Klassic Country 94.7/106.5 offers

At Klassic Country 94.7/106.5, Magnum Media’s technical director Chris ‘Doc’ Tarr will take over the morning shows. Before moving into engineering in 2000, Tarr worked at many stations in Wisconsin and Illinois.

Tarr said, “In 1989, Duke Wright asked me to work weekends for what was then WGEE in Green Bay. I developed a real love for the format. I often find myself streaming another classic country station. When Dave asked me if I would dust off my headphones for Classic Country 94.7/106.5, I said, ‘I’m in!'”
